Renewal Of Canvas Poem by Pallab Chaudhury

Renewal Of Canvas

Rating: 5.0

Where are those clouds?

(The answer is there in the air.)
All those, after the rain,
Who are spending their leisure hours
Will go, where-ever they like;
Who can stop them?

It's the rain that washes away
All the marks on the pages of life's diary;
Gives birth to a new canvas;
The known sky becomes clean, once again;
All stars begin to re-appear.
This change brings an autumn-touch;
The mind springs up and likes to step
Into the flower garden.
While getting dew-touches on the feet
I see the nyctanthes too
Waiting with colored lips...

Oh! A festive atmosphere everywhere;
The world is with a new look;
Herons, leaving the green paddy-field
Flying up in the blue sky
to write

Calligraphy!

Presently, while simultaneously reading and listening to the rain fall, I have new appreciation for those drops. But what of the metal roof?
