Requiem For Covid-19 Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Requiem For Covid-19

Rating: 5.0

We'll dance in the streets
And hug one another
For we crave the human intimacy
That is lost; but now found
As we remember the dead
With candles glowing in our hearts
We celebrate together
And pray to our noble G-ds
That it shall never return
As we ask for forgiveness and love
From one another

There will be an end to this, eventually life will resume and hopefully we will be wiser. The greatest lessons that Covid has granted us is a reminder that life is precious, and that nature is the one that owns man, not the other way around.
