Resentment Scenes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Resentment Scenes

Trying to maintain,
A keeping of one's composure.
When agitated to the edge,
From an intended applied heat...
Intensifying to increase,
The melting of a pot to steam.
Until resentment scenes boil over.
With close ups of it,
Are daily exposed on TV screens.
Meant to be seen.
To show progress is being made.
Claimed to declare it.

But for who?
Does such events,
Be considered and thought as progress?
And at whose expense benefits,
From the doing of this to get paid!
Done to do with intention.
