Respect Poem by Hebert Logerie

Respect

I will respect you as long as you respect yourself.
If you behave like a jerk, like a damned self,
You will surely be treated like one.
We were all created by God, not by Satan.
We are all love by the Almighty,
We are all equal, we all pretty
In the eyes of Mother Nature;
We all dream of a better future.
Knowledge is universal, ain’t nobody dumb.
Please keep away your filthy thumb
One mile from my face, otherwise you will lose it.
I am against violence; however, I am not a puppet.
I breathe like you and the blood flows in my veins like you.
I swear that I will not take any crumbs from you too.
Respect me, and I swear that I will give it back.
No, Oh! No, you cannot put my pride in your sack.
I will love you, if you can love me in return.
There is a great deal of rigmarole that you must learn.
Talk to me nice and I will do the same.
I do not give a cent about your fame,
Your money, your honey and your power.
Respect yourself, so you can be treated like a brother,
Like a sister, like a friend, like an important ingredient.
Love is sitting around the corner, let’s be pleasant.
