Rest To Get Is Beneficial Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rest To Get Is Beneficial

Don't let me be the one,
Keeping you up at nights.
Examining an image.
Seeking a place where it fits.
For a purpose I wish to leave.
Done to do your best,
To associate it...
Using your limited mentality.
You should get more rest.

I'm not trying to fit in.
Nor am I left pacing the floor,
Wishing to be accepted.
Fearing to be ignored.

My view has long been gone,
From label limitations.
Or a window with my nose,
To press against.
Until the light of day,
Comes to a close.
And there are many who disbelieve,
There are some who actually live...
Doing it without seeking approval.
Really. I kid you not.

You know,
Rest to get is beneficial.
Wondering who does what, when and why,
Is not healthy.
The evidence of this?
Have you yet to witness the people,
Loving and caring less...
Who it is they drive crazy.
For them...
It's an expectation to anticipate it.
