Rest Your Head
Rest your head and close your eyes,
The moon is climbing the quiet skies.
You have done your part today,
And now it's time to drift away.
The wind has slowed, the stars are near,
The night is soft and the sky is clear.
No need to worry, rush, or roam—
Just rest your head in this quiet home.
Let your breath be calm, let your heart be light,
You're wrapped in love, you're safe tonight.
Let every thought just float on by,
Like clouds that move across the sky.
Let the dreams come, may they be untainted by fear,
With every hope you hold most dear.
A secret place where you can be
As free as stars, as still as sea.
As I read your Poet 's Notes, I can see a great sister with a beautiful heart and unconditional love for her siblings. So touching and comforting, indeed! This profound poem is a joy to read. To my favorites!
