'Hello America' as Bernie Mac use to say.
America we need to change the rules by which we play.
The government bails out the few and ignores the many.
How about the credit card holder getting in on the plenty?
Shouldn't you be accountable for the mistakes you've made?
Unfortunately, that double standard is too often played.
In a corrupt corporate world the greed goes unfettered.
Shouldn't the goose that lays the golden egg be bettered?
Don't forget the consumer is any economy's backbone.
With debt so deep you can't hear us when we moan.
Can't there be some mutual accountability for us all?
Where's the equity to help us make it through this squall?
If the consumer were debt free, imagine what might happen next.
From despair to hope, a nation of consumers no longer vexed.
There are more of us than there are of them who need a solution.
Simply bailing out the few perpetuates the greed pollution.
