Right Substitute Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Right Substitute

What is outcome?
If I do not welcome
And accept internal call
It is pure and impregnable wall

What have I stored inside?
Hatred and pure divide
With conflicting religious views
That has been shared by few

I still wish it to happen
Keep my allegiance secretly with them even
Provide hide outs and help with money
All under holy name of protector, the almighty

Why the holy and fair name is blamed?
Why such vicious tendencies are not tamed
Let us fast and remember all those poor and destitute
Who need better life with appropriate substitute?

Let us not compare hardship with cruelty
The peace is essential for humanity
Intolerance is in no way acceptable
Innocent’s bloodshed is always condemned by right thinking people
