Rising From The Ashes Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

Rising From The Ashes

Rating: 5.0

Fighting through the flames.
How could you?
Setting the fire with the intent to watch me burn.
But in all honesty you just set free.
I was just another one of your prisoners.
But now the chains are gone.
I was using a hack saw.
But that would have taken way too damn long.
Who knew hatred would have been the key.
Just give me a torch.
The rage has built.
No amount pills will calm this coming storm.
Your crossed line, you stepped on it over and over again.
All the while smiling as if you did nothing wrong.
It's almost as if you are enjoying the misery you are causing.
No amount of guilt can make what you did to me okay.
Betrayal under the veil incompetence.
Only fool would now follow you.
Your loneliness will be you undoing.
A fall into the bottomless pit.
And I won't be one pushing you in.
But doesn't mean I won't enjoy watching.
Sitting back and wondering how I could fell into your snare.
Desperate times, desperate despair.
A dark desire beware.
From the ashes the Phoenix has returned.
To his former glory.
With wings spread he takes flight.
Off to capture a distance horizon.
