River Is My Church - Poem by Freni Karaluthara

I am still on your Banks;
a hermit contemplating-
on your little waves, its silent music,
the treasures of your heart, your beauty.
I can hear your song,
as enter your waters.
In you I reconcile with this Nature
and wash away the dirt of soul and body.
In you I feel in my life,
the embracing love of this nature's God.
In you in the waters of salvation,
I will be floated away at the end.

    River Is My Church.
    A very beautifully penned poem, filled to overflowing with excellent metaphor. I love how the poet acknowledges that God is the ever flowing river in which we bathe daily to cleanse our soul. How wonderful to hear the music of the little waves as the river rambles along quite happily! I feel only a very select few are able to experience this wonder. How joyful it is to be among them. A beautiful graphic complements the word of this excellently crafted poem. I love the simplicity of the write, it is most appealing. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing, dear poet... (Report) Reply
