Road To Victory Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Road To Victory

Few steps down to memory lane,
destiny is a burning hell.
Scriptures are there to remind
Pain not yet left behind
Scars tattooed in souls
Wounds in them are deep holes
Only a heart can tell how it feels

Step by step forward Is made
Stumbling, falling,
rising taking the lead
Fear bears courage to face forward
Thorns' pierce straight to the mind
Oceans of tears eyes shed
From pains the souls bleed

Dead hopes resurrected
Striving on to where they are destined
Minding not the cross carried
Enduring pains felt
Until when glory is gained

Hearts singing silent songs
Motivating and healing wounded souls
Victory is the promised lands
Feet marching to where the road leads
Before that, shall come floods and quakes
Everyone hold on.. Until we pass
Crocodiles! , crocodiles!
let's swim to cross
There shall be victory to celebrate

What must be buried first,
Is hate
time is now than late
It's possible if faith is kept
Mind not souls we lose in death
A wise mind know that's fate
Tears, get them wiped
There shall be victory to celebrate

Pain not yet left behind; with the muse of the past. Nice work.
