Roads And Ends Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Roads And Ends

Rating: 5.0

While climbing the hills
On her way to the top
She slipped and rolled
Down the slippery slope

Ever since then she has tried her best
To climb back up on the stiff hillside
To catch up with the ones gone ahead
Resting on the summit, enjoying the fruit

The fruits of their labour
The hard earned rest
The fruits of their success
That has given them wings

Still climbing the hills she cautiously steps
To gain some height before her final rest

Beautiful write about struggles and survival of women in our society. Nicely crafted. Loved it.
