Rosa Parks Poem by JOE POEWHIT

Rosa Parks

Rating: 5.0

A small symbol of seed.
In her heart a creed.
Feelings of a spirit.
Where just to sit?
Slavery was of the past.
The Civil War, did not last.
A seed of God's right.
Sent her into flight.
Like the Ark upon the water.
Her feelings were not softer.
Making ways for a path.
Martin King came at last.
Sherman's march to Savannah.
She raised up the banner.
