Rose Colored Glasses - Poem by Juan Olivarez

I see skies of blue,
And clouds floating by.
The green in the trees,
And birds flying high.

I see smiles everywhere,
Glasses half full.
Chrystal clear waters,
In all garden pools.

I welcome the sunshine,
And I pray for rain.
For the end of all sorrow,
Anguish and pain.

Keep them on, Juan, these rose coloured glasses. They show you the real world. The world we see throught the eyes of the mass media is the bad (less than) 1% of things that are happening. Reality is blue skies. Reality is birds. Reality is also the kindness we can experience day by day. Loverly poem! (Report) Reply
