Rotten Apples

Rating: 4.0

These apples are too squishy;
they're so hard to pick up.
I thought I would be done by noon,
but now it's time to sup.

Not sure what I expected;
It IS March, after all.
It would have been much easier
if I'd done this last fall.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It snowed last fall before I could get all the apples picked up off the ground under my apple tree, and just kept raining and snowing all winter. Today was the first really good sunny day when I could do some yard work.
