Rudraksha - Xxi To Xxv Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Rudraksha - Xxi To Xxv

Rating: 5.0

XXI

I can hear the bells chiming far in perfect harmony
With the merry songs of the retreating birds
And merging with the booming blow of conch shells
All in thy peacing love and calming bliss

XXII

When volcanoes sentenced by you to imprisonment
Under the deep sea become restless and furious
Hurl molten lava in protest making perilous tsunamic tide
Calm them down and save us from the disastrous waves

XXIII

You have taught me my master to adore beauty, but
Beauty that springs from dirt will wilt and fall into the dirt
Lotus so beautiful and sacred blooms in muddy lakes
Unless picked and offered will wither and fall into the mud

XXIV

I was in search of a flower, full of beauty and grandeur,
That has never been offered to thee unto this hour
At last when I found it I feel not picking it hurting
It's pain is of more concern to me than to earn your blessings

XXV

Lotus blooms with the ambition to be caressed by the sun
Waterlilies for a love filled look of the distant moon
When their hearts are filled they wilt and wither and fall
Forget my discontents my lord, fill my heart before I fall

The Almighty's varied creations are all beautiful however small they are and man is not expected to to disrupt or destroy them lest it may incur His wrath and displeasure which may manifest in the form of natural disasters! ! Poet is aware of this truth and vows to abstain from such things as he thinks that the sufferings of His creations are of more concern to him than the prayers in his lips! What a noble thought! Kudos to DPN!

Its a sin to hurt any living being even if its on God's purpose

Poet experiments in different styles of writing poetry. These are short, but remarkable verses.Actually they are pearls in oysters (ie pearls of love, fulfilment, motivation etc.) Congrats!

THE POET CLAIMS THAT ACHIEVING SOMETHING ABOVE OTHERS DOES GIVE US GLORY...BUT FINDING PEACE BY SACRIFICING OUR SMALL GAINS FOR OTHERS SMILE KEEPS US CLOSER TO GOD....

There is a longing in everyone and everything for love and self fulfillment! When the lotus and the water lilly had it, they wilted and withered! You also long to have that self fulfillment before you wilt and wither! I love the last stanza! A 10
