Rudraksha - Xxvi To Xxx Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Rudraksha - Xxvi To Xxx

Rating: 5.0

XXVI

I don't have a golden chariot to carry me across
I walked and walked, still I am here where I started
The path is rough, the walk is tough
Give me a helping hand and lead me to thy land

XXVII

Alight from my aching back the heavy packs I carry
It's my duty to carry along whatever you load, my master
I am born to carry out thy wishes, yet I have a wish to know
Which one inside the packs weigh more, debts or credits?

XXVIII

I play on the stage as you prompt behind the scene
Totally ignorant of distinguishing the right from the wrong
It's you who tempt me sin, it's you who urge me atone
I do not commit any sin of my own, I do my duties as you hint.

XXIX

Fixing my yeaming eyes on the passing barren clouds
For a drop of pure virgin water to subside my boiling thirst
A penancing hornbill am I unaware a thunder would befall
Perilously burning down my wings and cracking deep my heart

XXX

You in your winged chariot are relentlessly traversing hearts
Exploring the purity of the pure, to consecrate it thy holy abode,
And the beauty of the beautiful to ordain it thy immaculate kingdom
I regret, I have't sought yet a spot in my heart for thy throne

In the journey of life the poet does only what told to him by God unaware that it is a sin or holy act! Like a hornbill waiting for a drop of water from the clouds the poet yearns that he has not sought for a spot in his heart for his infinite kingdom. The poet's unselfish worship is the only reward he seeks. Splendid verses! !

We engage in Karma quite unaware the positive and negative aspects of it. We have to believe that we are made to do everything by God

Thank you very much dear friend Dr.Tony. We children of God are too immature to understand him. It is certainly He who push us to our Karma and so wee need not worry about the result,

YES...AS THE POET RIGHTFULLY SAYS....GOD ACTS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS...TRY TO FIND HIS PRESENCE IN EVERYTHING...THEN FINALLY THINGS AROUND US WILL START MAKING SENSE....

All quartrains are rather pleas to the Almighty to lead and direct in the arduous journey on earth. We are travelers trudging along rugged paths with the heavy burden of responsibilities and sorrows! We are helpless to a certain extent..... like dolls who dance according to the pull of strings by a doll master. Often we fail to seek the Almighty's help. Thought provoking and beautiful!
