Sacrificio Poem by Paul Hensley

Sacrificio

Rating: 5.0

Once more we stand upon this bloodied ground,
In this cruel game of fate, we are ensnared,
Our souls alas to hell are surely bound,
As flames and screams fill the wretched air.

A journey straight to the abyss below,
On chariots of fire we are borne,
Till our final breath doth cease to flow,
And our spirits from flesh are violently torn.

no guiding hand did lead us to this end,
And now too late the sacrifice must be,
Our sins with deaths swift mercy we amend,
In hope that cleansing absolution see.

To seek enlightenment or face the grave,
For in the end we are but a feast,
To state the hunger of the dark we crave,
And thus our souls are offers to the beast.

TWO: in showing what he means. It reminds me of the painting of the Dutch painter Jeroen Bosch, gruesome and surreal. Exciting to read, fascinating to follow. TOP Marks 5 Stars

ONE: first of all to get into your vision, before this poem can be understood properly. An event outside of ordinary everyday life, as exciting as it can be, the writer of this has absolutely succeeded
