Sad Tales... Mercy Killing Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sad Tales... Mercy Killing

Sad tales... mercy killing

It becomes intolerable
Painful and unbearable
You have no escape from illness
As it has been named incurable and life must lose

There is economic side too
Where person can't afford
Costly medicines to survive
And wait to live more

Many mercy petitions are pending
With requests often sending
To expedite the end of present journey
Much against the wishes of an almighty

It is religious belief
You won't get relief
If done some sins in present life
So you need to undergo sufferings

We see people asking for death
But they find even not to breathe easily
Each minute passes as hell
So they ask for death and not dwell more

Some of the countries have passed legislation
But there prevails lots of confusion
And legal wrangles too
But surely it is part of sad tales
