Saddlebags Full Of Tears Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Saddlebags Full Of Tears

Hearing calls of love through beautiful, slow rhythms of
caring and compassion, holding onto whispers of sweet
little nothings as they ride in saddles of cowboy's many
moments in time.

Watching mementoes of yesterday as they lie alongside can-
yons and ravines, taking steps that bring rhythms forward
to be played by the campfire at night.

Hearts, lost and lonely, wishing they had held onto love
they left behind, saddlebags full of tears that have been
saved for a moment of feelings to be expressed in a love
song.

Reminiscent of all that used to be, wishing that love had
never died and left me alone for the rest of life, yet it
still keeps close in memories on photographic screens all
through life on earth.
