Saint Mary's Mercy Poem by Thomas Plotz

Saint Mary's Mercy

Quaint and peaceful
Erie Canal Trail-town
Saint Mary's Mercy

Now found with
Renewal, repurposed, and relaxation
Buildings of coal towers and tow path

Shaded trees, that's the motto
Walking paths, lined with benches,
Past artisan gelato

There for you to gaze and ponder
Till your heart full and beaming,
Teaming jam-packed with daydreaming…

Doesn't seem that the water moves at all
Although it does

Pleasure boats or rented cruises
Kick back and relax if you choose

Then walk the path or ride a bike
To the Genesee intersection
Connection of all points to
Affection and perfection

I'm happy, because I did this
Before with you

Happy Birthday Mary
