Samantha's Flight Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Samantha's Flight

Angel whom soars the heavens,
I hope you miss your flight,
The hotels are far too booked,
There are far too many clouds in the sky, quick breaths of what needs to be said, obstruct the words that suddenly come to a stop,
Although the pilot knows the destination,
I hope you miss your flight,
Though I have faith you'll reach there safely, a quick outlook on the moments that pass by lights in an luminous glow,
Posted on a pole that hangs above the street, quickly lighting the way of your voyage,
I intend to write each day your gone, as each day you remain present,
I hope you miss your flight,
The way your lashes bat when you close your eyes,
The wrinkles that caress your nose just before you smile,
I hope you miss your flight,
I understand the reasons, you have to go, angel whom soars the heavens, the season is just beginning to bloom,
As im lost in the new found season in your eye,
An eclipse of one moment to the next, blossom,
I hope you miss your flight,
In a gust of wind,
Would it be far,
Flying through the cloud filled sky,
I hope you miss your flight, and return back to my arms
In the morning
