Sand Castles Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sand Castles

More to receive and get.
With less complaining about,
What is given not to earn.
Yet entitled to expect,
Success others have.
Without the sacrifice or sweat,
That is a pre-requisite required.
For anyone who has a desire,
To achieve and acquire...
Dreams to witness and receive.
With faith to keep in themselves.
To continue their endeavors.
Done to do with effort made.
More to do and that given.
As well as time to find it done.
And less requested upon demand.
Placed in hands.
Never to have touched sand.
Or familiar what it takes,
To make a castle.
Even if done to watch wash away.
But dreams kept to stay and keep,
Have a way to eventually...
Become as real as concrete.
For anyone to see and believe them.
