Save That Look For Someone Else Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Save That Look For Someone Else

I want to make one thing perfectly clear!

'Okay.
And...
What is that? '

Oh no.
You are not going to try to trick me.
I know what you're up to.
You want me to provide clarity,
BEFORE your questions are asked.
Don't you?

'But,
I didn't ask you for clarity.
You volunteered.'

I see.
So now you want to take advantage of my honesty.
You think I'm stupid?
I am not volunteering anything,
Until I know what it is I am volunteering for.
And save that look for someone else.
No question?
No clarity.
And that's it!

'I am not going to suggest you have issues.'

Is that a question?
It didn't sound like one.
