Scornfuleyes On Lovelylies Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Scornfuleyes On Lovelylies

Losing his doze of the night, he falls asleep
in the day and in his dream, she is found
with fire of love burning in her heart deep,
and in rhythmic steps she is dancing around.

When the world scoffs at Covid-19's infective love,
the pain of her hate, he struggles to endure.
He thinks of the ways, his innocence to prove
and the hurt caused to her mind to cure.

Her doubt of his faith is to him hellish fire
and he writhes with her sad face in his breast.
When she aims high, he lies down in desire.
Now for her hosting looks, waits he as a guest.

With a scientific sense, she likes not his fanciful lies.
When he flights his wings, shows her disdainful eyes.
