Sea Enchantment Poem by Obinna Kenechukwu Eruchie

Sea Enchantment

To sail I set on a lovely day.
My mood to ease off that has gone blue,
Sailing set out as I on the way
Where adventure beyond seems not true.
Of the sea the scallops I survey.
I had at its splendour a great view.
Seems around me everything so gay.
The feelings that I had became new,
Until the sky started to go gray.
Silence everywhere, I hadn’t a clue.
Towards the deck my foot with dismay.
Around me began the air to boo.
To roar started signs grave to display.
To hassle started the water as it did stew
Of grumble burst makes the boat to sway.
The boat’s ruins side by side seemed to brew.
The boat I feel is thus far to pay.
My worry I tried hard to subdue.
For my wellbeing I earnestly pray.
Now peace has arrive all the way through
Through the water, a force makes a cliché.
At a point, it tends round into a crew
That gives way for a huge mound of clay.
It turned out to be a cay of brownish red goo.
Out of those holes were fays from that cay.
In numbers the fays flew that were few.
Dazzling as a wonderful bouquet
With magical powers they imbue.
Lively, they glide in proper array.
They shine in an utmost vivid hue.
Led by their queen the most stunning fay,
Whose form placed me in a dreamy coo.
She was bestowed with the brightest ray
With tremendous achievements they do.
Thrilled I was by the star dusts they spray.
Such are the mind-blowing things they spew.
Of glamour flaunt their powers relay.
In my soul such deep influence does screw.
The thing greatest I’ve seen for portray.
Enormously what happened gave cue.
When it ended there was huge allay.
For home with excitement, I pursue.
