**searching For Soul In A Bottomless Hole Poem by Jon Alan

**searching For Soul In A Bottomless Hole

Rating: 2.8

I've stretched the imagination
to the point of no return
Loose'd the bolts of meaning
'till I carried no concern
Tasted fruits of knowledge
past the point of sweet and good
On the edge of distant mountains
I have stood

I've carried the shield of innocence
in battles with the bad
Carried the weight of hopelessness
in moments with the sad
Flowed through nights of horror
in the realms of the living mad
Spent brief moments chatting
with the glad.

I've sat alone on an Isle called Self
with no one else but me
And never found a moments rest
on this rocky sea.
I've touched the heart of this constant madness
called Humanity
Decided to stay and decided to go
a hundred times it seems.

Once again the moment has come
to ride the rocky waves
To look again for the secret place
among the ever-glades
Where Sunlight's golden rain drops
and burdened hearts are freed.
There, in a Glen, is that secret land.
where I will plant my seed.

Majestic and wonderful, this poem, the twin brother of mystic experience (brahmaswadana sahodara - skr)

I do love this. Have we not all experienced it to some extent? But where do we find that secret land? Surely it is nowhere earth bound, but I believe it to be not a place. Yet a time. The time when you are in the arms of the one you love, the only time you ever really live. But its just a speculation based from what I believe. What is it for you?
