Sebastian Poem by Juan Olivarez

Sebastian

Little man blue with hair of gold,
lovely child new to my fold,
Beautiful blue eyes smiling at me,
Beautiful blue eyes, blue as the sea.

Little man blue you fell from above,
The good lord has sent you on the wings of a dove.
I wake in the mornings and still see your face,
And I smile at the child with the beautiful gaze.

Little man blue you've taken my heart,
You took it and ran with it right from the start.
My heart is not with me, I left it with you
My heart is in the valley, with little man blue.

Oh how I yearn to be home in the Glen,
With my little man blue together again,
Little man blue hold on to my heart,
It was your property, right from the start.

This poem is about my third grandson Mauricio Sebastian. I wrote it while in California, because I missed him so much. We are now together again.

The third grandson Mauricio Sebastian must be a lovely grandson for whom the poet wrote such a beautiful poem.
