Seeing Red - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Seeing Red - Lincoln Park Zoo

As a snow monkey gal, I do
Wish to warn human females that
When visiting Lincoln Park Zoo,
Don't wear red near my habitat.
Red for a female snow monkey
Intensifies on face and rump,
When in the mood for mating be.
Competing levels really jump.
So the redder any female,
Is deemed by me to be a threat.
And I will surely rant and rail -
Make quite a scene, you better bet.

Human females - warning be spread.
Come to the Zoo, but not in red.
