Seeking An Appropriate Response To Every Crisis Poem by Hebert Logerie

Seeking An Appropriate Response To Every Crisis

Oh! Lord, let there be a divine
Response to every crisis
Just like we have a special wine
For every moment of the Eucharist.

There is too much crime in the neighborhoods
There are too many bombings in the neck of the woods
Where innocent victims are maimed, hurt, injured
And killed. Let's put a halt to all violence, and hatred.

Oh! Lord, show us how to solve our problems
Teach us how to extinguish the fire of this hell
This is overwhelming! This is crazy! The dams
Are full with corpses; real blood is floating in the well.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to the innocent victims of Brussels, Belgium, and to the poor migrants of the world.
