POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Original conception...

Tiny little angel
Embrace me with love that transforms
Shattering once on ground.

Every drop of rain is a prism helping us to reflect our true self.

The present haiku has a syllable count as 5-7-5.

I was corrected by Michael Jack over Haiku and senryu poetry. I thank him for his mindful enlightenment.

My first senryu, I think.

Very beautifully penned. The picture seems to have truly reflected in the lines. Keep it up.

This fits in the category of Senryu not a haiku. Haiku is about nature and Senryu is about humans and nature. There are so many forms like Sonoku, Monoku, Trioku. Haiku originated as an opening part of a larger Japanese poem called renga. These haiku written as an opening stanza were known as hokku and over time writers began to write them as their own stand-alone poems. Haiku was given its current name by the Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki at the end of the 19th century.[3]
