(senryu)The Sunday Funnies Of Old
withlimerick addendum part seven

Tigerremembered

Delightful kid group
'Tis magnificently drawn
Eternal childhood

Tiger... Wes

(doggerel)Peanuts Checks Out Tiger

Julian and Schroeder often have sinus
Punkin-head is another Linus

Pigpen would hang out with old Hugo
Bonnie is Lucy with bangs as you know

Old Tiger there is none other than
Charlie Brown is a Suzy fan

Stripe would chase sticks for Snoopy

Tillie The Toiler remembered

Office type doings
Secretarial idol
Mac the hopeless swain

Tillie The Toiler...Wes

I never did really read this thing
But was aware of a familiar ring
Mac and Tillie of course
Would instantly divorce
Should the fates decree they have a fling

Believe It Or Not remembered

Ripley collection
Miscellaneous oddballs
Authenticated

Believe It Or Not... Wes

Old Ripley cashed a simple tact
'The unbelievable will always attract'
Don't think he drew it
But everyone knew it
How could you ignore fantastical fact

Barney Google remembered

Rustification's site
Those other Americans
Wife three times his size

Barney Google...Wes

You gotta go back for great Barney
Full of such nonsense and blarney
He of Googley eyes
And constant surprise
With a race horse he'd brought from Killarney

The Phantom remembered

Menacing figure
Agent of right it would seem
Legendary ghost

The Phantom... Wes

An aura of mystery much like the shadow
Checking out all the scenes where the bad go
(His dog was quite vicious
approaching malicious)
He'd a loneliness really quite sad though

Dennis The Menace remembered

Mister Wilson's pain
Dennis and Joey are pals
Rampantly roist'rous

Dennis The Menace.. Wes

Ev'ry one knew a kid much like Dennis
There's one in Khartoum and in Venice
Full of mischief and fun
But at Christmas was one
Of the strips not to dare miss(tremennis)

Henry remembered

Head gorgeously formed
Never a word is spoken
Language no problem

Henry...Wes

When I first encountered this lad
Why I felt just a little bit sad
He's unable to speak
But week after week
There's a quaint humor there to be had

I hope you enjoyed one more trip down memory lane.
