Sense Of Straight Poem by Dorsey Baker

Sense Of Straight

there was a time when
men were men
now I think
they have forgotten
what a man is
suppose to be
a man is
suppose to be a man
he ain't suppose to be
no lady

it's the new normal
but still
I don't understand
a woman is
suppose to be a woman
a man is
suppose to be
a man

out of the closet
into the street
wearing lipstick
and perfume
smelling so sweet

I guess I'm so
old fashioned
too straight
but I'm hearing
what I hear
and I'm seeing
what I see
but no sense
does it make
