Sensuality Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Sensuality

Rating: 4.0

Taste it slow
not with tongue
See it deep
don't use eyes
Feel its softness
stay away from touch
Hear the notes
Use something more
than the outer ears
Smell its fragrance
that sounds through gut
Organs of sense
must speak
in unusual way
to open the beauty
of the air and land
that surround
Reception of energy
Revival of the life
reaching the eternity

it is about de-sensualizing the senses; that's to go beyond the senses. True, many of the things in life cannot be understood through senses; they can only be perceived beyond the senses.

No tongue, no eyes, feel it, stay away from touch, hear the heart’s notes Smell the fragrance, organs of sense, open the beauty, reach the eternity. Raising all that is sensual from the mundane to a mystical level falling into an experience of the eternal. A great poem indeed.
