Serendipity Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Serendipity

For some time silence reigned
In the ocean of thoughts
No waves formed, no surf broke
No ripples spread on the surface
No current flowed below it
All emotions went to sleep

It happens perhaps once in a while
When the spindle that spins
Endless thoughts
Runs out of fibres
And falls silent
To give the mind complete rest

Enjoy the moment
Of perfect bliss
Of total surrender
When neither the problems
Nor the solutions matter
Nor eternity exists
