Serious Business Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Serious Business

I could have found a better way,
To say everything I've said.
But I had not sought bushes to beat.

What I felt was an opportunity,
To get the words out.

Leaving no doubt...
What was heard to come,
From my mouth to your ears.

I was not seeking to take a tour,
Around your insecure sensitivities!
I came with serious business to conduct.
