Serve The Master Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Serve The Master

Rating: 5.0

I serve my master well
He will be pleased to tell
If my conduct is satisfactory
With some correction if necessary

You have real freedom at heart
To feel out ward is deceptive art
How can you feel freedom?
Without observing it seldom

Think of duties and rights together
If you discharge then there is nothing to bother
The duty to fulfill obligation may give satisfaction
Not only towards consciousness but to action also

We always look towards sky
With helplessness and nothing to try
We compromise civic sense at each turn
Act irresponsible and expect so much in return

We burn public properties in rage
We bring out wild devil from cage
We expect everything to be done by other people
Where else was needed any struggle?

Water flows out from pipe without water tap
Garbage is thrown on road to cause mishap
No traffic sense when driving the vehicle
Freedom and liberty then cause only trouble
