Settling An Old Score Poem by Shaun Cronick

Settling An Old Score

Rating: 5.0

I'll be away from work for some time,
Simply abroad to hunt someone.
A ghost from my past of a previous life,
I won't stop till my deed is done.

I cancel my appointments,
And redirect all my calls.
I'm armed to the teeth,
Until he's mine and falls.

I never tell of my past,
What I did in a previous life.
And of this inept assassin,
Who missed me and killed my wife.

So off I travel,
My die is cast.
I have the info,
Sweet vengeance at last!

When confronting him,
My wrath won't waver.
Slowly dispatching him,
My soul will savour!

I'll make him suffer,
It'll last for days.
He'll pay in screams,
For I have my ways!

Pure raging revenge is all I crave,
I'll bury him in a shallow grave.
I'll show no mercy or any good grace,
For my dark retribution reveals a dark face!

Revenge is a deed best done while it's dark. Enjoyed it, thanks.
