Shadow Chase Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Shadow Chase

My shadow
Follows me
Wherever
I go.

At times
I seem to
Follow my
Own shadow.

Other times
My shadow
Remains
On my side.

It all depends
On where
The source
Of light is.

Sun, moon
Or a lamp
Each casts
A distinct shadow.

I feel relieved
When my shadow
Vanishes in
Total darkness.

Uncomfortable
I feel when I'm
Forced to chase
My own shadow.

Beautiful poem reflecting in many ways. Chasing own shadow is really uncomfortable for one, rather than shadow chasing one. Here shadow can be taken as memories be it whether good or bad. I loved reading it. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely write in deed, it is always better to be followed by a shadow than to follow the same in a very unfruitful way what is with no positive result.

Great philosophy of life brought out by the image of one chasing a shadow! It will never be a rewarding experience but a disappointing one! At some point you will realize that you have been after an illusion! Great write!
