Shadows Lying Below Trees Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Shadows Lying Below Trees

Looking at shadows lying beneath trees of this desert,
seeing and following how their branches curl, being
gnarled or bent.

Leaving shadows so small, barely being seen as breezes
blow them around, being shadows, only not able to have
the freedom their counterparts have above them.
