Shattered Love Poem by Spiritwind Wood

She stood on dreams edge looking out
and heard the echoes through the wind
like lonesome whispers that shout
through shattered love her heart felt the pain
she saw deep inside her soul
a shattered love that fell like rain
with broken wings that wouldn't mend
holding on to a paradise lost
she tried to let it all go
but only paid the price it would cost
of a shattered love that would no longer remain
but still she cries out his name
through a shattered loves dying flame
with hopes that Heaven would no longer send
and would never come again
