The next morning
She complained
That the flowers didn't talk to her
I told her
That the flowers also needed rest,
Needed some sleep during the night
She retorted:
'How would you know?
Being on the other side of the night'!
True
I stayed back
The day was slowly rising up
Throwing away its grey cover
I need to consult a flower or two
Before she would make a second call...
Let them wake up fully
Get freshened up
Till then I shall wait...
