She Will Never Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

She Will Never

Rating: 5.0

I did not hear cuckoo’s voice
She had made me clear promise
“I will sing daily for you” and be here
I always dreamed about her

Both cuckoos coincided with time
I used to fail pace walk sometimes
One will make the air powerful
Another may make me cheerful

It was great impact on mind
She was really a nice and kind
She may speak no word while making stroll
But eyes may exchange call

She did hide one thing from me
It was going to be over under tree
We used to sit sometimes to have air intake
Her life was really threatened and at stake

She was suffering from incurable disease
The life was to be over or cease
I was unaware and dreamed about her
She was soon to disappear

Today I am under tree but alone
She is no where seen
I become restless and stare at sky
Many questions enter mind and ask why

“Hello prince, wait no more” gentle air echoed
It was just a company therefore
I have gone away forever
I shall see you never

I get little hint
She was fragrance like scent
I had few days to see her
She will never appear again

Intense, heartfelt poem. It reminds me of the words, it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Really touching poem, brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing such a delicate memory. RoseAnn
