Shiny Bright Mosaic Mirror Poem by Justin Williams

Shiny Bright Mosaic Mirror

We all dream of fame and a hit parade debut,
a career path has never been much clearer.

You love to watch ball games and I sure like them too.
But my ball’s a shiny bright mosaic mirror.

We party every night but what else is there to do,
while you tuck the kids in bed and snooze.

We watch Eurovision and some sports just like you,
but we don’t get angry if we loose.

A kebab and a fight is not how every night should end.
But you seldom settle for less to anoint.

We sing girly songs and sleep with our best friend.
Monogamy is not our strongest point.

While you re-trace your chosen steps I’ll watch from afar.
I’ll just smile and get evermore queerer.

You feed the wife and kids and put them in the car,
I’ll just dance under this shiny bright mosaic mirror.
