Unrequited Love Poem by Justin Williams

Unrequited Love

This is not love! this burns and taunts me when you’re near.

This feels tough and love never sounded so severe.

Why do you ration the time you talk to me?

This is passion and it longs to wonder free.

Lust clouds my mind when you glance over me.

It’s obsession I find when I’m alone it’s you I see.

I often wonder if you think of me from time to time.

This feels like thunder knowing you’re here and you’re not mine.

Can’t you read my eyes as they burn right through you!

This is no disguise because I only wish you knew.

I’m insane and I’ve had quite enough.

Of this pain, this torture, this unrequited love.
