Ship Wreck Of Faith Poem by Mark Normand

Ship Wreck Of Faith

Rating: 5.0

On the high seas of life, with no compass
for direction.
Held prisoner by emotion in my mental
insurrection.
It seems as though forever I have lost my
chance for joy.
The happy satisfaction I once knew as
a boy.
Is life so dull, so dark, so cold and the Earth
a spinning coffin?
With clouds and rain, and snow and pain, it
it seems we feel so often?
Where is the light that gives me sight and brings
my life true meaning?
Then lifts me up and fills me with a
wonderful nice feeling.
It is gone away, somewhere today, away
from me it's hiding.
So I'm here inside, with tear filled eyes, in
darkness I sit crying.

Tis well written, expressive and appealing. Read mine - A Small Ship - Adeline

This is a piece that many can relate to. Keep hope alive, and faith will never let you down. Once again, the clouds will roll back, and the light shall brightly shine through.

Life is a painful business for many - well expressed sentiment.

We all have a shipwreck in life. Nice feeling poem. Now I say raise that ship from the depths of despair. I am working on raising my ship right now, difficult, but not impossible. Write a poem of salvage! Salvage what is lost and sail again in the mighty winds of life!
