Shouting Out Recommendations Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Shouting Out Recommendations

A representationto present it,
From a menu to select.
May stay impressive until tasted.
But rejecting to object to its flavor,
This too late to discover...
Will have a cost to pay.
To get rid of the chef,
Loudly recommended.
As choosy complainers often do.
And...
Unknowingly,
Thought to have been...
Just another maintenance guy.
Lieing about being the owner.
Heckled and laughed at.
Not to realize him also to be...
The one their boss,
Begged to borrow a loan.
To keep them all employed.

"I apologize for the delay.
These days it takes,
Having the ability,
To tolerate just about everything...
Attempting to please and satisfy,
The most obnoxious...
And totally disrespectful people.
May I help you?
I am willing to solve,
All of 'your' problems.
Including mine.
You have no idea.

No complaints?

Great.

I will improve upon your selections,
If you wish.
Or...
Be my guests and order something else.
Off the menu.
I will send the Maitre D,
Right over."

-What...was...that! -

-Why are you whispering now! ?
Seconds ago,
You were shouting out recommendations.-

Status quo versus places in the pecking order, hard to decide if whispering or shouting is worse.
