Show No Restraint Poem by Lora Colon

Show No Restraint

Do not come gently into my dark night!
Intrude boldly on this loneliness
That creeps through my veins like a killing blight,
And no words of comfort can suppress

Blast the prison walls of this tortured mind,
Setting it free from its doleful plight;
Send it soaring toward realms yet unassigned
In its quest to find Love's guiding light

Pound loudly upon my heart's bolted door,
Shout to stir and wake these sleeping dreams;
Let them once again walk Hope's blissful shore,
And wade through Euphoria's glistening streams

All the bridges of caution must be burned,
Unfurl audacity's fearless claws;
Brashness is welcome where Love is concerned,
For Love fulfills the greatest of God's laws!

There's nothing above love and that's why we should " Show No Restraint " . Another wonderful poem!

2 - I'm still waiting for another humorous poem from ya! Or at least add some! ! ! " Euphoria is the experience of pleasure or excitement and intense feelings of well-being and happines." from an INTERNET SOURCE with all the lack of well-being and happiness in this world, i think it should be a crime to experience euphoria more than once a month! :) bri

1 - I TRY to use restraint .....eh, i was goin' to write a poem before reading yours, ....but the heck with it. Maybe after reading? Another unique (to me) and well-done rhyme sequence, another i won't bother to try. To me, the " greatest of God's laws" would be The Golden Rule, .....unless one is a, perhaps.
