Sign Of The Times Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Sign Of The Times

Rating: 5.0

Passing on a bus
a very busty lady

steps outside
her business

for a smoke

///despite///the///falling///rain.

'MASSAGE PARLOUR'

So says the sign
in gaudy pink neon.

And then
another little sign:

'PARKING AT THE REAR.'

The bus
stopped at a red light

pulls out

into the traffic of
rush hour.
