Silence Poem by Phinda Mkhonta

Silence

Why is the African youth silent with their voice spear?
I want to feel their voice filling the atmosphere,
They will never unveil success until they unveil,
Their trumpet is dead to the grave not to fulfill.
This silent give me labor pains to
Give birth to the break of this nut of silent.

Where are the spears of the African youth voice?
Where is the youth movement in every moment?
Virtue would not go far with their silent,
If a little vanity walk not with the youth
Vice will not make their virtue to shine;
They must wipe out the conspiracy of silence.

I am not reluctant to embroil to this silent
That had immerge to freeze up the African continent,
The youth is out of sight and out of the mind
Of the governments, the youth is innocent
But out of the frying pan, into future fire to lament,
When justice is profaned through their flesh and bone,
Their rights denied, their opportunities gates barred

Why is the African youth silent, to raise their voice to shine,
Let the youth not be demoralized but democratized,
Let the youth not to be in denial to delight,
Let the youth not be destitute but dedicated for,
They are not substituted but they are eligible
For the next generation expectations.
